The Slip-On Shoe Protector – MK II is designed to protect your boots and shoes from gear shifter marks, grease, and wear—without falling apart in the process.
The earlier version used elastic at the base. It worked, until some folks forgot to remove it before walking around in it. Then it didn’t.
So we fixed it.
The base is now crafted entirely from full-grain leather, built to handle both riding and walking. The elastic has been moved to the top, where it belongs—keeping the protector secure without taking the load.
Crafted bespoke to fit your boots like a glove, it slips on easily, stays in place, and does exactly what it’s meant to do.
Nothing more. Nothing less.

Fantastic bit of kit to protect my Red Wing Logger boots
I haven't had the chance to use this motorcycle shoe protector yet, so I can't comment on its long-term performance. However, after inspecting it, I'm very impressed with the quality. As always with Trip Machine, the craftsmanship is top-notch. The leather feels premium, the stitching is clean and solid, and the overall construction looks durable and well thought out. The protector has a classic, stylish design while still appearing practical and sturdy enough for regular riding. Based on the materials and build quality alone, I'm very satisfied with the purchase and look forward to using it. They work just as expected. I can now wear non lace motorcycle boots without risking the shoe protector slipping away from the boot!

- Very well-made shifter protector. Definitely at the top of cost and quality scales, but worth it IMO. The quality, fit, and workmanship are excellent, they also look great, and most importantly, they work at protecting footwear from shifter damage and wear. - I tried them on a pair of new riding boots just to see how they'd do, and they worked very well. I know they'll do just as well on any footwear that I actually care about. - I think they could be significantly improved by widening the leather bottom strap to cover the sole of the boot and reducing the elastic sections to the area just on the sides of the boot. - This would improve their long-term durability and I think could be achieved without increased cost. IMO, this would better justify the cost and improve functionality. The
The orientation of the elastic band is awful! Didn't expect this from a premium brand.
I wanted to like this product, but unfortunately it hasn't lived up to expectations. 1. The leather is very thin and crumples if the tip of the protector catches on the shifter. 2. The stitching came undone after only one ride. I own the buckle up version of this shoe protector, which tends to slide on my shoe a bit. The one good thing about this version is that it stays in place.

Great product but partly poor quality. Unfortunately the shoe protector slip on is broken (see picture). I ordered it on Feb 22nd this year and use it since April. The product is great but the quality of the elastic strap underneath the sole is not. I used it just while riding the bike, however it just lasts five months which is really sad. Best regards Ulrich

Save me boots from black marks. It serves its purpose and blends seamlessly to the colour of the boots. You won’t notice the difference. Awesome product. Two thumbs up!
The boot protector is a useful addition. It fits well and does a good job.
Slips right on and stays secure. Insignificantly noticeable while operating the gear lever. Looks cool and saves my great boots.

The hooking system doesnt work fine. The strap tends to come out during the ride in a very short time. Need to work on the locking mechanism of the strap

The material feels a bit flimsy/thin. The bottom surface thats to be in contact with the shoe should have been more grippy. The whole thing slides around.
Great quality, great design (works with any style of boots, including without laces). Material quality, manufacturing quality, packaging are all top notch as with their other stuff. If there is one quibble, the adjustment holes might need to be a hair larger, it's a battle to get the brass stud through the holes (at least the first time, I expect will be easier with time).

Make the leather more long towards the toe of the shoes because while changing gears the leather slides to the back which makes it useless

reminder that they only fit boots, not smaller shoes. also the rubber seems pretty small
Does not stay in place when toe shifting. It gets pushed back. Would be great if it actually stayed in place. Perhaps would be better if it was a toe cap design or the leather slip-on was taller to cover the top part of the boot.
